Vertical Arbor Resaw
These machines are generally used in combination
with a board edger for processing round back slabs and for
lumber remanufacturing. Depending on the application we offer
single or double arbor machines with up to 250 fpm feed rate
using strobe saws or thin kerf guided machines with feed rates
up to 450 fpm. On all machines the saws are height adjustable,
controlled either by an operator or an optimizer.
Vertical Single Arbor Strobe Resaws
The single vertical arbor strobe machine will
handle pieces up to 6" wide and is available with a single
or double saw set up. The infeed to the resaw is usually the
tailing device for the edger as well. The feed table consists
of a chain bed with an electric motor drive and a series of
top hold down rollers to ensure a positive feed. Vertical
outfeed rollers eliminate pinching of the saws. The saw unit
is a tube style arbor arrangement. The saw arbor slides vertically
in a heavy duty bushing. The saws are set either by linear
positioning set works cylinders or by stacked cylinder set
works. The set works are assisted by an additional air cylinder
to allow quick and easy shifting of the saws.
Vertical Double Arbor Strobe Resaws
The double vertical arbor resaw will handle
pieces up to 8" wide and is also available with a single
or double saw set up. As with the single arbor machine the
infeed to the resaw is usually the edger tailing device. The
feed table consists of a chain bed with an electric motor
drive and a series of top hold down rollers to ensure a positive
feed. Vertical outfeed rollers eliminate pinching of the saws.

Vertical Single Arbor Thin kerf Guided Resaws
The single arbor guided machine will handle
pieces up to 6" wide with a single or double saw set
up. The saw is equipped with front and back babbitt guides
that allow a feed rate of 450 fpm. The back guides assist
in removing the top slivers of round back slabs The infeed
consists of a set of four fixed vertical rollers and as set
of two press rollers The out feed has a set of four fixed

has one fixed arbor with a # 3 1/2" Retech spline, and
a vertically shifting guide unit with either a stacked cylinder
or linear positioning set works. The guide system on both
the front and back allows a feed rate of up to 450 fpm.
