HORIZONTAL BAND RESAW

These machines are specifically designed for resawing cants and flitches.

Two basic models are available, one with 36" wheels and a throat opening of 16" and one with 42" wheels and a throat opening of 20". Both machines run a thin kerf band saw (approx. .090"), 5" wide, .90 kerfe.

Units can be placed behind each other to provide multiple cuts in one pass. Horizontal band resaws are available with several types of feed table; sharp top chain feed, slat bed feed or roller table feed.

The feed system is equipped with a variable speed drive.

Feed speeds up to 200 fpm depending on lumber size and species.
