Circular Twinsaws/Scraggs
Twinssaws are used in primary breakdown operations
where a slab or a side board is created. The machines are
mostly used for high piece count mills as well as for processing
low grade hardwood logs. These machines are often installed
in combination with a twin canter.
Various saw and saw guide configurations can be selected.
SAW CONFIGURATION:
GUIDE SYSTEMS AVAILABLE:
- Conventional fixed saw collar with front and back stabilizing
guide
- 3 point guide system with floating collar and oil mist
lubrication
- Babbitt guide system with stabilizing guides in back
- Some smaller double arbor configurations will operate
with strobe saws and no guides are required
