TRANSVERSE FEED SNAP SHOT SCAN
OPTIMIZED BOARD EDGER TWO SIDED FEED
This machine is designed
to operate in hardwood and pine mills with boards feeding
from both sides. The board will need to be placed wane up.
Two lasar cameras will take a snapshot of the board. The machine
will position the board as well as position the saws to the
optimized solution. The board is grabbed and held by pin style
fingers prior to scanning to eliminate wane crushing and inaccuracies
in the positioning. The infeed table is coupled with our standard
high speed top arbor board edger. The outfeed will be designed
for your application and it can vary from picking finger style
to separating belts to shifting shears etc.

This type of machines utilizes precise scanning
and high piece counts.
There are two styles of positioning devices. One is with pin
stop style and push over fingers grabbing the lumber on it’s
side, the second one is with grab fingers pinching the board
from top and bottom. On applications in the high end of piece
counts the positioning devices can be doubled up
