Metal Detector

Typically metal detectors are installed in a linear conveyor. Logs are conveyed longitudinal at a speed of approx 120 to 150 FPM. The selection of metal detectors is based on your preference. The most common suppliers are MDI, Rens, TTC to name a few.

We will provide design and engineering to integrate a metal detector in an existing line. We manufacture all support structures as well as the fiberglass section around the metal detector. Sometimes the metal detector conveyor is a separate unit or it can be part of a longer conveyor.
