The Valley Junior Edger
Valley machine Works Ltd designed and
developed the incomparable Valley Junior Edger, the ideal
companion for portable sawmills. This machine has proven so
productive and reliable it has become the edger of choice
for the successful portable sawmill owner.
The Junior Edger shares the configuration and
many of the features of our renowned high production edgers.
It is rugged, reliable, and precisely aligned during manufacture
to ensure accurate lumber is always produced.
The Junior Edger has the best set works in the
business. It's easy to set, both in 1/4 inch and 10mm increments.
The rack and pinion shifter eliminates the inaccuracy and
jamming problems on machines with cross chain setworks. The
sealed ball bearing in the shifting arm needs no lubrication
and eliminates saw collar play.
This machine is loaded with safety features.
It has an industrial grade safety switch (kill switch) and
a limit switch on the cover. All moving parts are well guarded,
and there's a full width set of kickback fingers. There's
even an exhaust stack (with rain cap) to keep fumes away from
operator.
The Junior Edger hauls easily and is quick to
set up on its leveling jacks. The 20 HP Honda gas motor gives
excellent fuel economy. The Junior Edger ships complete with
saws and battery, ready to work.
